Philolaus was an Ancient Greek Pythagorean. He developed the first non-geocentric model of the universe. His model featured not the Sun, but a "Central Fire" at the center of the universe, with the Sun and the planets (including Earth) orbiting it and a unmoving sphere of stars surrounding it. Alongside the usual planets that the Ancient Greeks recognized, Philolaus also theorized that there was an "Anti-Earth" orbiting opposite the regular Earth. He added this so that there would be 10 heavenly bodies, as his number theory required.

Although Philolaus's model can't really be called heliocentric, he was the first to move away from the traditional geocentric idea. He's recognized as one of the most important figures in the Pythagorean school.
